Hello, my name is Lehua. I am a returning student to United Tribes Technical College. I received my Certificate in Business and Office Technology with Medical emphasis, in May 2006. I always new that I wanted to further my education and now is the time. My majors are Medical Coding/Terminology and Health Information Technology.
I have a wonderful Husband that I am very proud of, he served in the Army for 5yrs. He was stationed in Ft. Hood, TX, Korea and was deployed to Iraq. We have two beautiful children, Kaitlen 6 and Chapa 2. We live in Colorado Springs, Colorado, we moved here after Christmas. We love it, it's a big change from Kirtland, my hometown, before then we lived in Killeen, Texas, Ft. Hood Army Base.
My goals during and after receiving my degrees are to work from home, to have the ability to leave when my family needs me, to be home when my children get out of school and to still be able to provide for them financially.
I was raised in a strong family oriented home, with both parents and eight siblings. As a child and teenager, church was very important, it has taught me the importance of family values. Our family has grown so much, my dad and mom are proud grandparents of six grandchildren, five girls and one boy, ages range from 14-2yrs old. My son is the only grandson and is very spoiled by his grandparents.
My favorite hobbies are reading (favorite author VC Andrews), scrapbooking (i'm a beginner), cooking, baking, crocheting, quilting (they make wonderful gifts), and photography.
Moving to a new location is always difficult, adjusting is the hardest. Kaitlen is still having trouble getting out of bed in the morning for school, but she loves the half day kindergarten and riding the bus. She is always wanting to learn new things and is curious about everything, you will always see her with a notebook and pencil. She likes to dress up, put on make up and walk around in my heels. She loves watching the Disney channel, she likes Hannah Montana and The Jonas Brothers. She is excited about starting Kempo Karate and can't wait until Spring Break, when her grandparents will come visit. Our son Chapa is our fun, off the wall energetic, trouble making, then loveable, cutie of a terrible two year old. He always keep us on our toes and in full alert 24/7. He is learning to pick up after himself, we are in the process of potty training (very difficult, girls are easier), he has learned not to be so messy during dinner time. He is talking so so much and he loves to be read to at bedtime. My husband an I have been together for six wonderful years, we met on the internet and have been inseparable since then. We want a big family, maybe three or four more children. We hope to make Colorado Springs our home. We do have family near us which is wonderful, my husbands sister and my sister. So we are not to far from home.
